Here to enrich nature

Shouldn’t your last act be your greatest?

Our story

Why pollute the Earth when you can enrich it? Even after we die, we harm our beautiful planet by cutting down ancient trees, emitting CO₂, and polluting the soil with toxic chemicals. What if our last act didn’t leave a scar, but nourished the earth for our loved ones?

That question sparked our journey during our graduation at Delft University of Technology. We didn’t want to work against nature, but with it. Not work with dead materials, but collaborate with living organisms.

We set out to create a new generation of products, not ones that pollute the Earth, but ones that enrich it. In the forest we found our answer in mycelium; the root network of mushrooms and nature’s most powerful recycler. Continuously transforming dead organic matter into new life by releasing nutrients. A quiet force, powering the cycle of life beneath our feet.

With that mindset we started our mission at Loop Biotech. We grow funeral products from local mushrooms: 100% natural, biodegradable, soil-enriching and designed to empower us to become one with nature. A way for humanity to turn endings into new beginnings. Because we believe your last act should be your greatest.

We are the generation that will enrich nature. And today, we invite you to join us.

Let’s enrich nature.

The power of mushrooms

While most researchers had their eyes on the plants and organisms above ground, recent discoveries show that earth’s most crucial creatures live underneath us. Mycelium, the underground root network of mushrooms, are known as nature’s biggest recyclers. Its power to transform dead organic matter into new life makes this organism the driving force in nature’s cycle of life.
